The Systems Support Manager facilitates the successful design, development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing support of banking software systems and applications.  This individual will be responsible for the direct supervision of the systems support team.  The Systems Support Manager oversees identity access management, system enhancements, maintenance requests, system design, and testing. This individual plays a key role in acting as the technology/operations support liaison between end users and service providers.


  • Manages a team of system support analysts that resolve user-initiated requests for changes or incidents
  • Oversees process for technical issue escalation
  • Acts as a liaison between end users, project team, internal technology team, management and vendors
  • Coordinates application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production
  • Performs post release testing after application releases and infrastructure updates
  • Develops and maintains technical support documentation
  • Facilitates identity access during onboarding/off boarding process
  • Provides technical oversight across banking systems and applications
  • Acts with full supervisory responsibility, ensuring motivation and development of the systems support team through professional leadership to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations as well as direction of daily tasks and responsibilities
  • Serves as a key member of Bank acquisition or conversion team
  • Serves as a key member and technical resource of the bank’s Disaster Recovery and Incident Response Teams
  • Serves as a member of the Change Control Management Committee
  • Manages relationships with key vendors
  • Works collaboratively with the bank’s Chief Information Security Officer to establish and maintain a strong security posture
  • Serves in a “lead by example” role to all bank employees in understanding sound IT practices
  • Partners with Operations, Information Technology and internal clients to understand known issues and implement improved processes, address and diagnose performance and stability, and ensures high quality testing processes and standards


  • Takes leadership in owning issue resolution and driving issues to completion
  • Ensures that incident, problem management, processes, procedures, and standards are adhered to

  • Promotes the Bank’s products and services whenever possible; participates in bank sponsored events, and networking and volunteer opportunities.

  • College degree with an emphasis in Business Administration, Financial, Accounting and/or Information Technology preferred
  • Minimum seven years of Financial Services or Banking systems support
  • Minimum five years managing a team
  • Deep understanding of banking systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively through writing, speaking and listening
  • Ability to travel to as needed
  • Valid Tennessee Driver’s License, dependable transportation, excellent driving record, and automobile insurance required ($100K/$300K/100K)
  • Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter, and within a team environment
  • Demonstrates a commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and deadlines
