PURPOSE OF JOB

The purpose of the Regional Correspondent Sales Director position is to seek out and find new Broker, Correspondent, Bank and Credit Union clients to educate and train on Reliant Bank mortgage products and customer-centric platform with the goal of acquiring their mortgage production. The Regional Correspondent Sales Director is detail oriented and able to identify, create and cultivate business relationships with clients and contribute toward the growth of the TPO Division while upholding Reliant Bank’s commitment to quality and customer service.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sources, develops and maintains profitable relationships with Correspondents, Banks and Credit Unions through proactive prospecting, communication and demonstration of commitment to helping meet the ownership needs of the clients.
  • Educates clients on our loan programs, policies and technology.
  • Develops and maintains thorough product knowledge. Provides superior service and customer satisfaction to both clients and internal team members by providing training on the benefits of working with Reliant Bank, our products, process and technology; answering questions and providing information in a timely and relational manner.
  • Provides direction and training to clients on operational policies and procedures.
  • Sets expectations and understanding of loan process for submission, underwriting, locks, closing and funding for clients or loan purchase process for correspondent clients.
  • Applies experienced problem-solving techniques to successfully address and resolve any issues for both internal and external clients to continuously improve processes and provide a competitive advantage through relational interaction and operational excellence.
  • Enhances client relationships by proactively identifying and assisting with client issues regarding loan commitments, registrations, delivery and final documentation, by working with internal team members to address issues through internal processes, facilitate exceptional communication and provide solutions for the client.
  • Manages client performance with regard to quality and pull-through performance.
  • Assists with new client onboarding, including orientation to train on technology, systems and procedures.
  • Monitors inquiries to proactively identify training opportunities for individual client and other clients as trends reveal.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws, as well as Bank policies.
  • Acts as market expert related to competitor analysis and local market practices. Actively participates in the market and reports critical data to Senior Management, including market risks and regulatory issues.
  • Works closely with Sales Management in developing growth strategies and increased market share opportunities.
  • Maintains sales contact, pipeline and other pertinent sales activity reports.
  • Promotes the Bank’s products and services whenever possible; participates in bank sponsored events, networking and volunteer opportunities at every opportunity

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Minimum of five to seven years of sales experience in the mortgage industry
  • Proficient understanding of mortgage banking concepts and regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively through writing, speaking and listening
  • Ability to stay organized and work on several tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle detailed assignments.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Ability to deliver quality internal and external client support
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to travel
