This position handles all aspects of Specialized Lending loan operations with an emphasis on escrow accounts and insurance claims. As a Loan Operations Specialist, you will interact directly with Specialized Lending’s loan customers in addition to providing internal support to various departments.


  • Verifies documentation and meticulously completes related loan maintenance in Navigator as well as updates applicable Excel spreadsheets.
  • Follows up with insurance companies on various insurance notifications and obtains adequate information for policy renewals
  • Processes insurance claims and communicates progress and items needed with customers and contractors
  • Answers department call line and responds to customer requests
  • Uploads loan files and various loan documents in Web Director
  • Assists in processing daily incoming mail and loan payments
  • Occasionally assists with loan activation and funding disbursements, primarily at month-end
  • Promotes the bank’s products and services whenever possible; participates in bank sponsored events, networking and volunteer opportunities at every opportunity

  • College degree or equivalent professional experience in loan operations, customer service or escrow preferred
  • Experience with Fiserv/Navigator preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively through writing, speaking and listening
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to reason, problem solve and negotiate
  • Highly committed to accuracy and quality while meeting deadlines
  • Must be a self-starter and highly motivated to work independently or collectively
  • Ability to adjust to a fast-paced, multi-demand, ever-changing work environment
