The Electronic Banking Specialist performs various functions to support Electronic Banking Department. This position ensures that all items are handled accurately and in a timely manner including reviewing, tracing, resolving errors, and escalating anomalies and problems to management.



The following duties are performed as scheduled in department rotation:

  • Provides support for Retail Online Banking, mobile banking, bill pay and debit cards
  • Processes Reg E disputes and Casetracker Risk Reviews
  • Performs general account, debit card, and system maintenance as required
  • Monitors virtual vault transactions and processes client credits
  • Compiles and reviews various departmental reports including but not limited to weekly closed report, compromised card report, etc.
  • Monitors customer requests from Retail Online Banking emails and distributes them promptly and accurately
  • Saves daily work electronically in appropriate folders
  • Monitors and processes mobile deposits in accordance with documented procedures
  • Monitors and closes inactive debit cards in accordance with documented procedures and timeframes
  • Processes ATM deposit and mobile deposit capture approvals
  • Trains bank staff on Reg E
  • Reviews and analyzes various reports and follows up accordingly: debit card tracking, Guardian Analytics Reports for Retail Online Banking
  • Reviews and analyzes various MasterCard reports and follows up accordingly: quarterly reporting and monthly card billing
  • Performs business continuity program Testing as required
  • Responds to internal and external customer inquiries
  • Acts as Deposit Operations backup as follows:
  • NSF processing
  • Chargebacks processing
  • Non-post processing
  • ACH processing
  • Promotes the Bank’s products and services whenever possible; participates in bank sponsored events, networking and volunteer opportunities at every opportunity

  • College degree or equivalent professional experience in banking operations or retail preferred
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work essential
  • Knowledge of financial institution products and services preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Good math and analytical skills
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively through writing, speaking and listening
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Must be comfortable working effectively in a deadline driven environment
