The purpose of the Correspondent Lending Fulfillment Specialist position is to manage loans submitted by third party originators through Reliant Bank’s Correspondent Origination Channel.  Correspondent Lending Fulfillment Specialists work closely with the Regional Correspondent Sales Directors, Correspondent clients, and Due Diligence partners to ensure applications are thorough and complete and adhere to company, investor and industry standards. Correspondent Lending Fulfillment Specialists act as a client advocate proactively assisting with pipeline management to ensure loans move from file receipt to the closing or purchase of the loan in a timely manner through Reliant Bank’s policies and procedures.  The Correspondent Lending Fulfillment Specialist is detail oriented, makes sound decisions meeting legal & policy requirements.  The Correspondent Lending Fulfillment Specialist will provide on-going communication, feedback and training for the Correspondent and Regional Correspondent Sales Director & Ops Director while upholding Reliant Bank’s commitment to quality and customer service.



  • Provides support via inbound and outbound telephone calls and email in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Provides proactive review of client’s pipelines in order to expedite loan through the process, increasing overall pull-through ratio. Communicates regularly with client and Account Executive regarding status of the file and any outstanding conditions needed.
  • Provides direction and training to clients on operational policies and procedures.
  • Applies experienced problem-solving techniques to successfully address and resolve any issues for both internal and external clients to continuously improve processes and provide a competitive advantage through relational interaction and operational excellence.
  • Enhances client relationships by proactively identifying and assisting with client issues regarding loan commitments, registrations, delivery and final documentation, by working with internal team members to address issues through internal processes, facilitate exceptional communication and provide solutions for the client.
  • Provides support by reviewing loan submissions to verify the accuracy and completeness of the documentation and data.
  • Assembles file in electronic imaging system.
  • Reconciles LOS and AUS, if applicable.
  • Submits mortgage loan application file for underwriting approval.
  • Determines any conditions, stipulations or pre-funding requirements.
  • Reviews and clears underwriting conditions, stipulations or pre-funding requirements received.
  • Gathers all required documentation prior to closing and resubmits for final approval.
  • Communicates with clients, sales teams and operations teams to resolve outstanding issues as they arise.
  • Resolves and responds to post closing credit exceptions received from investors and auditors when required on loans underwritten.
  • Submits denied files to underwriting for review and signatures.
  • Notates denial or withdrawal status in LOS and prints appropriate package.
  • Work closely with Account Executive, Sales Management, and Ops Management in developing growth strategies and increase market share opportunities.
  • Promotes the Bank’s products and services whenever possible; participates in bank sponsored events, networking and volunteer opportunities at every opportunity

  • College degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Five or more years of mortgage experience preferable in processing and/or underwriting
  • A solid foundation of knowledge on TRID guidelines, Products, Underwriting guidelines, third party origination process and procedure and technology tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through writing, speaking and listening.
  • Knowledge of all Mortgage laws, procedures, rules, regulations, etc. on a federal, relevant state, local and bank-wide basis
  • Ability to learn or knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access; Ability to learn or knowledge of Outlook email program
  • Excellent communication, analytical, customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel
