Meets with loan applicants and makes credit decisions within established guidelines.  Processes loan applications, prepares appropriate documentation, maintains customer relationships, manages a loan portfolio, and coordinates collection efforts.  Promotes and sells bank services and products to building customer relationships by cross-selling and referring other bank products.


  • Sources, originates, and underwrites all types of loans
  • Prepares packages for loans and presents them for approval
  • Works with Credit Administration, Loan Specialists, and attorneys to close loans
  • Responsible for ongoing loan servicing and monitoring all loans
  • Originates deposit accounts and cross sells other Bank products and services
  • Profitably structures and prices loans and other services
  • Assumes credit quality responsibilities related to past due and maturing loans, loan losses and deposit overdrafts, classified loan, exceptions, and compliance
  • Responsible for maintaining high customer service levels and finds solutions to customer’s needs and concerns
  • Promotes the Bank’s products and services; participates in bank sponsored events, networking and volunteer opportunities whenever possible

  • College degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Minimum two to five years previous lending experience
  • Continuing education in lending through AIB, Institute of Banking and other seminars preferred
  • Comprehensive banking product knowledge and previous sales experience essential
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial real estate construction and development, commercial and industrial lending, and consumer lending helpful
  • Working knowledge of accounting and financial analysis
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Prior to or upon hire, required to be registered on the NMLS Registry and obtain a Unique Identifier Number. Registration may include finger printing and the completion of an FBI Background Check
  • Ability to communicate effectively through writing, speaking and listening
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills
